President Bola Tinubu received a strong endorsement on Tuesday from the Council of State, which includes former Presidents, past Heads of State, and former Chief Justices of the Federation.

This marks the first Council of State meeting presided over by Tinubu since he took office.

During the meeting, the Council members denounced the recent #EndBadGovernance protests, with Dele Alake, the Minister of Solid Minerals Development, describing the protests as having sinister motives, alleging that the sponsors were aiming to instigate a change in government.

Alake shared these insights during a briefing with State House Correspondents following the meeting.

In attendance were former Presidents Goodluck Jonathan and Muhammadu Buhari, while Yakubu Gowon and Abdulsalami Abubakar participated virtually.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo was notably absent, neither attending in person nor joining online.
